Teaching Arithmancy shouldn't be that bad even if it's the hardest subject I'm taking. Seeing as the majority of the class are girl Slytherins, I shouldn't receive much in the form of ridicule. I still don't see the sense in this, but if we're not getting additional OWL work during this week, I suppose it's a bit of a break. For those who don't have to teach at any rate. Though, there still are prefect duties to do as well, for some of us...

Thank you Avalon for the costume. I appreciate it. There now Mum can't be mad at me since I said thanks to her...
I know I'm not the only going as a Roman... something, but it's not a soldier or anything. I think it's like someone Noble or something. I actually like it, but I have to be bitter on principle since I'm being forced.
As far as I know now, I'm going by myself.

Oh brilliant... a ball. And here I was actually looking forward to Halloween this year. Apparently not now... Maybe the Professors will give us too much homework that week.
Anyways, I have something better to look forward too. I got invited into the Ancient Runes Club. I wasn't aware that Professor O'Toole recognized that I had talent or anything in Runes. Surprise, surprise.

I have yet to decide if I'm going to Hogsmeade or not. Though I suppose I may have to do Prefect duties. I could volunteer to do those at the Castle I suppose... Haven't been at this long enough to know what. Will they put the more experienced Prefects on duty, or give the new 5th years a trial? Either way it looks like I won't get much work done with the time regardless.
And I am already thinking I need to stock up on a bit more parchment... just in case I've underestimated the weight of our work load this year. Probably should get some extra ink too. I'm already wasting it on extra drafts of homework.
And I'm sure this all sounds dreadfully boring, but if I don't write it down I'll probably forget.
